In his 2010 debut 1IP 0H 0R 0BB 2K's.
I know most people here aren't "excited" or "interested" in guys when they are in the low minors, but I am. And Wirsch is someone worth being excited for. He is a HS(09) pitching prospect unlike any we have in the system now as far as his skillset is concerned........He apparently improved his curveball between 09 and this year, so hopefully we will see that in the K's.....
Lets see if he can build on this, salvage the season and try to prove he is ready to jump to Delmarva next year. It'll be interesting to see how they handle both Wirsch and Coffey due to them both coming off of serious injuries.

Interested, yes. Excited, maybe next year if he does well the rest of this year.

Anyone know if Wirsch and/or Coffee have a chance to pitch in Delmarva next season? Since they are both in GCL it seems like a long shot, but it would be nice to have them pitch on a full season team next year since they'll both be 20. A 6-man rotation in Delmarva of Coffee, Wirsch, Martin, Moore, Dixon Aderson and Mathew Bywater (Klein in Fredrick) would be fun to watch; also add in Henry, Tolliver and Schrader in the pen.

If they are healthy, I would think both could pitch at Delmarva next year.

Wasn't there rumors that Wirsch was gonna jump to Delmarva to pitch this yera had he not gotten hurt?

Dunno what the plans are for Tolliver, but I am pretty sure the idea is to have Randy Henry be a starter, not reliever.

Good to hear. Assuming he signs, do you think Klein starts next season in Fredrick?

Aberdeen is a better possibility....Only Wieters started at Fredrick in my recent memory and he was the best hitter in his draft class....

Delmarva seems like his most likely destination. Randy Henry, Jake Cowan and Ryan Berry all started there this season.

Never mind, my bad IU didn't see the question was NEXT season, I thought the poster meant this season when he signs in time where would he go.....But, in that case, next year he would probably go to Delmarva to play on the full season team.....I do agree with that....
