I went to turn the heat on for the first time this season today and I got a horrendous sound that was like a cross between a screech and a whistle. It last about 2 minutes and then was intermittent for the next five minutes or so. The heat did eventually come on, but I am worried that there may be a bigger problem.
If it makes a difference, I have an Nordyne gas furnace, model M1MB 090 BW (it's designed specifically for mobile homes).
Any advice as to what may be wrong??
