Darius Miles will get cut by Charlotte, and somewhere out there, Quinten Richardson will tap his fists to his forehead.

There's a lot of skepticism here in Portland regarding the Blazer's chances of getting past the first round this year. Based on the offseason roster improvements (or lack thereof) I have to agree.

Boy oh boy did Miami look out of sync last night. Granted it was the first game of the year and Wade was hurt for almost all of the preseason but, yikes, 9 points in a quarter?

Miami, Boston, Orlando, Lakers, OKC and Utah are the only 6 teams that have a chance to win it all IMO.
There are some other good teams like Chic, Hous, SA, Denver(if Melo stays)..Those teams will likely win 50+ games but they can't win it all.
So, its a 6 team league IMO.
Griffin/Wall battle it out for ROY....Griffin will have better stats but Wall runs the show, so it will be a battle there.
Durant wins MVP because James gets too much taken away from him and Kobe will take some time to get back. I think the other guy that could jump up and steal the MVP award is Rondo.
