I have listened to Chad Dukes for a longtime, mainly on the big o and dukes show, and this is the first time he has ever said anything about sports that I respect even though it was a little corny and sounded scripted. You can't really fault with him since that is how most skins fans feel. Definitely got a chuckle out of the "Brandon Lloyd has 50 td's and Ryan Clark is a pro bowler" and "redskins reparations" lines.

Personally I'd love to hear a Baltimore sports talk host go off like this on Angelos and the Orioles.

See, this is the sort of crap that I cannot stand.

Yes, Brandon Lloyd is having a GREAT season. But everybody wanted him gone after his abysmal two years in Washington. He didn't show anything while he was here - there was absolutely no reason to keep him. None whatsoever.

Now, Ryan Clark is a different story.

Epic. I don't know anything about Chad Dukes, but that was epic.

I don't really listen to Chad and LaVar a whole lot...Chad certainly has his fans and people that hate on him. I don't listen to him because I don't like him, I just don't listen to him cause I prefer 980 AM. Chad Dukes and LaVar are on 106.7.

But yeah, a lot of this is spot on. Great rant. Pretty much sums up how I feel.

The other voice on there is LaVar Arrington...true story, Monday night I roll into this new sports bar in Fairfax called Icons. It's a pretty big place, there were a few people at the bar and I pulled up a chair to a table. Who's sitting at the next table? LaVar and a couple other people....looked like they were interviewing LaVar for something. Anyway, I didn't want to eavesdrop and stare, I don't know what they were talking about. But it was cool seeing him there. I heard one of them ask what he was doing for the game and he said he was gonna go home to watch it.

My friend showed up, we moved to another table with a better TV, LaVar ended up staying there and watching the game with those people. After that first play where Vick heaved it 88 yards, I went up to get a beer and walked past LaVar's table...and he was all "DID YOU SEE THAT??!?! OH MY GOD!!! DID YOU SEE THAT!?!?!?"

Pretty interesting watching a player who isn't entirely too far removed from the organization watching that game. He mainly sat there with his arms folded and shaking his head.

Chad is a good guy. We worked together one summer a couple years ago. Smart sports guy, and very passionate (as you can tell.)

And I meant to say, I agree with this. Unfortunately, people just don't seem to care about the Orioles to this degree.

If the fact that I work there wasn't enough to get people to listen, that might!

Good rant. You could go that crazy over the Orioles in any given season. Hopefully that is behind us.

I'll give you passionate, but he is not that knowledgeable when it comes to sports. The only reason he is a host of a sports talk show is because of his strong personality. Don't get me wrong I like the guy even though a lot of his opinions are ignorant and really tilt me (I was a huge fan of Big O and Dukes and was devastated when they took them off) but he just doesn't know sports.

He knows more than he lets on, but on the radio and in person it's different. He definitely plays up the shock jock in training (that's what I used to call him). He spends a huge chunk of his time talking football but I'm pretty sure it's not his bread and butter.

He's really cool and more laid back in person though, when you get him talking like that is when you'd see his sports knowledge come through.

I think plenty of people on this board do. I know I sure as heck do. For me (not being a Skins fan) I liked this rant so much because I swapped "Redskins" with "Orioles," "Snyder" with "Angelos," and "stupid Cowboys and Eagles fans" with "stupid Yankees and Red Sox fans" and it pretty much summed up everything I feel about the O's over the last 13 years.

Of course the Baltimore sports media is a different story. The only person I could see doing something like this is Nestor. The rest of them (particularly those on 105.7) will keep their mouths shut because they either don't care that much or are afraid of being blackballed by the O's a la Nestor.

I'll hold out hope that one day soon Jim Hunter will snap after 13 years in Jimmyville and go on the most epic rant ever about the O's and how he's sick of being paid to say "all is well in Birdland" in the middle of another crappy season.

I can't bring myself to listen to it. I try to avoid local talk radio after a Skins loss. I have respect for Dukes as he came up from being an intern on the Junkies. His previous Big O and Dukes show is much, much better than his current show. They get Cooley on there which I like to listen to, but Lavar's constant bashing of the organization is over the top. They've been harping all summer and all year that they'll lose McNabb after this season. Have they addressed the signing and admitted that their constant teeth nashing on the subject was all for naught?

Finally listened to that. That is EPIC, no doubt. I like where the co-host tries to go to commerical at the 10 minute makr and he goes on for another two minutes plus.

Honestly, at this point, I feel bad for Redskins fans. I know they are great fans just like us Orioles fans and they deserve better. Snyder has ruined a great organization.
