Seems as though Peter King has spiked Mr. Whitlock's drinking water.

"Art Monk, a good player for a long time, but not a Hall of Famer," Whitlock said. "I'm sorry. Playing a long time and acquiring a bunch of stats doesn't qualify you for the Hall of Fame....I contend if Art Monk were being judged against his peers every year during his 16, 17 year, however many year career, he wouldn't be a candidate and we would have never gotten into this debate about whether Art Monk should be in the Hall of Fame."

Dude goes on to add that Russ Grimm and Chris Hanburger aren't HOF worth either.

The proportion of his writings and other utterances that is complete garbage seems to be on a steady increase. There's a difference between being outspoken and being an ass.

I agree Art Monk should not be in the hall of fame. Harburger was a beast tho and belongs.

Longevity is a valuable attribute that should be considered, but more than that, Art Monk was the engine that made our offense go for 13 years. Being one of the best possession receivers in the history of the game doesn't qualify you for the HoF? If we ever needed an 8 or 10 yard gain, he was safe money to get it every time. Heck, the Redskins won THREE super bowls with him where he was an integral part of the offense.

I usually like that Whitlock appears to say what is on his mind regardless of public opinion, but he has been coming off very Cowherd-ish lately.

You should not have been drinking as early as you were today.
