Well, you folks read my last post, fielding suggestions for places to eat dinner last night (Saturday) for my wife's birthday, as she chose to go down to Baltimore for the weekend, mainly to visit the aquarium.
We're back home, and as always my wife, daughter and I had a fantastic time! We always have stuff to do down there. Although I like Philadelphia, I do like it down there even more. I think because there are places for me to do things, like the B&O Museum (also a family connection with that), the Ruth birthplace and Sports Legends Museum, and lots of other things!
Anyway, as things turned out for dinner, my wife decided on a place we hadn't eaten in for a while: James Joyce Pub in Harbor East. Still a good place to go, and the food was really good!
All weekend, I was rockin' my new 1901 Orioles cap, from when we first got down there to visit Fort McHenry (you guys should visit now - the new visitors' center is great!) all the way through the drive back home.
We stayed at the newer Hampton Inn, right next to Pickles Pub (had lunch there yesterday), and I wanted to share with you folks the view we had from our room:

BTW, the hotel is really nice! It had a baseball theme throughout, from the lobby's floor, to the huge baseball glove chair there, also!
Anyway, it was a great weekend, one that we needed to just relax and get away for a bit.
It only made us look forward to when we'll be back again!
