On Monday, my friends and I are going to get crabcakes at Faidley's (a tradition) and then try to get some Natty Boh on tap at Camden Pub since I am sure it will be packed.
What do you usually do on opening day?

With my job, I've only been able to go once (last year) since I started my career.
I send out the theme to "Orioles Magic" to all of the known Orioles fans that I work with, and wear an Orioles shirt until my work clothes. That's about it.

Since I won't be down at the ballpark for the game, and I will be DVR'ing the game from MLB Extra Innings (we get the free preview from 3/31 until 4/10 or so), I will wear an O's cap to work, and when I get home to watch the game, crack open a Natty Boh, probably cook something on the grill (hot dogs and something else), and have my own version of the Charm City at home!
And, since my wife and daughter love Baltimore too, they'll love the whole thing!

My buddies and I usually wake up somewhat early, pregame at the house, and head into Camden Pub to drink some more -- then head to the game.

Don't have a tradition - it'll be my 1st time to OD.
Been to Faidleys before though and we'll probably go there again.
Hows the beer selection at Cross Street Market, and how far a walk is it from opacy?

Underdress for the day, meet up with friends for beers, stand in long bathroom lines, watch the team run out on the Orange Carpet, buy a new sweatshirt or jacket because I underdressed, boo someone, buy a hotdog on the way out, look forward to 161 more, wake up around 3AM with major stomach cramps from the hotdog on the way out, remind myself not to buy hotdogs on the way out for the rest of the season.

The last two years, I made the drive down, and stayed for the whole three-game series. This year, I had free opening day tickets, but I gave them to my cousin who lives in Alexandria. I hope that we "northern" Oriole fans up here in New York and Connecticut can have a party/get-together for opening day.

Basically just take the day off work. It's usually a 3:00 start. That's not a problem this year, and I'm not working either. Other than that just make sure I have beer on hand. That's not usually a problem either... :laughlol:

The past 3 years, I've gone with my dad and the tradition is always the same.
We leave around 11, go to Denny's on 30. Then drive down to North Avenue...see that the parking lot for the light rail is full...and then drive and park in the city. We then go and enjoy the game before finishing up at the Cheesecake Factory to either celebrate or eat the pain away.

Yep.
I do the same thing.
If not, I'm following the game online.

I'll go down to Pickles, decide that I don't want to wait 40 minutes for a beer, run into a couple of friends, realize that it'll take me an hour to get my tickets, walk over to will call, and get inside just in time to see Jim Hunter's ridiculous orange getup.
