With Irving's decision to go to the NBA, who do you prefer, Irving or Wall?

Oh Frobby, the Blue Devil's bias must be at work on this thread. :) They are both super talented obviously, but Wall has been doing it at the highest level. No question you go with Wall. Now I may revise my answer in a couple of years but as of right now, Wall has to be the guy.

To be honest, I don't know who I would rather have. But the fact that Irving hasn't played in the NBA yet shouldn't matter. Every year some team trades a good, established NBA player to get a high pick in the draft and go after someone they like who hasn't played a minute in the league.

Irving without hesitation...Why? Because he can shoot.

Yes this is true but that doesn't always equate to equal or better production. Like I said, today I take Wall but talk to me again in a couple of years from now.

There isn't much difference in their stats other than 3 pt% and games played:

Wall: 37 games
16.6 Pts/Per
4.3 Reb
6.5 Asts
4 TO/Per
.325 3P%

Irving: 11 games
17.5 Pts
3.4 Reb
4.3 Asts
2.5 TO/Per
.462 3P%

So in review of their freshman stats, I take the true point guard who is already producing at the highest level. I do like Irving and think he will do well but per this Poll, it has to be Wall, IMO.

Rose, Westbrook, and Rondo have done quite well for themselves while coming into the league with poor outside shooting and obviously Rondo still has a big issue there.

Well, the shooting is the big thing.

Not to mention, you can't neccassarily look at assists here on an even plane because of the presence of Nolan Smith.

Kyrie will be the better pro. Not to say Wall won't be a beast but Kyrie should be the better overall talent.
