Never thought I would hear myself say this, but...thank God. This present team has taken a toll on my bp. Three days will give my arteries some rest. ;)
But, come Thurs., I'll be back at the yard, ready to take on the second half...and also to get my Matt Wieters AS t-shirt. :2yay-thumb:

This will be the first time in a month that we've gone 3 days without a loss.

Honestly, is there anything worth discussion about this team for the rest of the season? See you in the Winter when we might have something to talk about (offseason acquisitions) because there is really nothing left to talk about with this team until then.

In the next three days, JJ Hardy will be signed to an extension, Matt Wieters will be the All Star Game MVP, and the NFL Lockout will come to an end. Then Thursday will come and we'll start the second half by winning 15 of our first 20 games.
Okay, well the first three things may happen!

No games until Thursday IS my pain.
This is the first year I haven't felt this way. It's partially because I'm in Phoenix for all the games, and partially because we've been playing so badly that I've almost become apathetic.

I am very ready for the break.
After watching the first three Redsox games I just DVR'd Sundays game. Checked the internet to see if we won. And if we had a fight. Neither happened so. I just erased the game. Watched just a little and felt fury coming on so I just killed it.
I think this is the worst I have ever felt about the Orioles. Because there is no hope. Just no way to spin it that makes any logical sense to me that we will compete anytime in the next three years. None.

There will be little difference in the NMS household these next few days...

Seriously... draft picks and who we sign and how much. And we might actually make some trades.
After 7/31 tho.... no. Sleep til Brooklyn. ;)
To bastardize the old lottery slogan, you can't lose if you don't play.

Actually no. I need the rest more than they do. This is a very bad sign.

On one hand, yes. I should be turning on the game right now.
On the other, I have Home Run Derby and Raw tonight, a meeting tomorrow night, and an IronBirds game on Wednesday. So before I know it it'll be Thursday and I'll be watching the Birds (lose) again!

I wish they wouldn't have the AAA All-Star break on the same days of the ML All-Star break. I can't even watch the Tides. :(

A little, but not that much. There will still be baseball-related activity going on tonight, and I will pay more attention to the All-Star Game than many recent Orioles games. I have plenty of things to do right now, and I'd rather take some time to watch an All-Star Game that could be somewhat interesting, than an Orioles game that results in an almost guaranteed loss for Baltimore. What I miss more than the lack of Orioles games is the lack of OH chatter, but the team is doing so badly there will probably be plenty more questioning and rants between now and Thursday, which would give me a good amount of reading material.

Anybody else watch Orioles Classics on MASN last night? They showed game 6 of the 1970 World Series against the Reds. Mike Cuellar sure had his screwball working, and it looked great having Brooks and Boog on the corners of the infield. Weaver looked so young then, and they even interviewed the batboy after the game.
