For whatever the reason, Jacob Julius can now say he made Triple A. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Maybe they are short on outfielders with Hudson and Angle now with the O's and they need to keep Bowie intact for the playoffs charge, or they could be about to move up Brandon Snyder, but Jake is now with Norfolk. There's no question he can field, it has just been that little hitch in his swing that has let him miss some balls.

IF/OF Jacob Julius promoted to Norfolk (Triple-A) [24 + 4 DL]
Julius batted .235 over 29 games for the Shorebirds. He has never played beyond the high-A level.
There is no corresponding roster move at this time.
