This is will be played at Ravens games at certain times to get the crowd jacked up! Righteous! The crowd will chant along as the song starts out with the sick guitar solo, until the drums kick in. It will be "Ohhhhhh, oh, oh, oh, ohhh, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." with the guitar. They do this over in Europe for soccer games. Imagine that by 70,000 fans. CRANK THIS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is, all of these other covers are cheating. TWS don't even have a bassist - They used a regular guitar in a lower octave to make it sound like a bass. Jack White is just far superior. ;)
But I do like the covers, I just had to point that out.

You obviously have never been to a European soccer match. Man when the crowd gets to chanting/singing their team's songs, they really consider them hymn's, then the hair on your arms and back of your neck stand up. Trust me it is quite a powerful thing!

Penn State's band plays Seven Nation Army a lot in the stands. Another one they play that I like a lot is a version of a song called "Skin I'm In". I can't find video of them playing it, but here's Howard University playing a different arrangement of it that is way better (shocker):

It's true. They have no funk, which is the main reason I had zero interest in joining the drumline when I got here.
I can't really recognize the Penn State version of this based off of that, though. Is it the "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Ooooooooooooooh! Let's - Go - State!"?
EDIT:
This one?

That's it. I'm pretty sure they call it "Skin" as an homage to "Skin I'm In". At the games I've been at, they slow it way down too.

This was amazing today.
I was 10 blocks from the stadium walking back towards my parking garage and I there were still people walking the sidewalk doing the refrain from 7NA.
It will be the theme of the season.
And you know what? It beats the hell out of Who Let the Dogs Out!

I must be in the minority. I agree that the crowd picked up quickly and was into it, but it just felt lame to me. Maybe all stadium induced chants are just lame to me.
I wouldn't mind it at an Orioles game though since the O is emphasized.

Really? I think it comes across as pretty classless, myself. We have great fans, there's no need to be so crass. It's the same thing with the UMD student section chanting "YOU SUCK!", among other things. Honestly, bad language doesn't offend me in the slightest, but this makes me cringe when I hear fans of my teams saying it on TV.

I must be classless, because I thought it was awesome, especially since it happened after the Steelers started getting dirty due to anger and desperation.

The UM chant is tired, and I'd be as happy as you if that tradition went away. Today was different though. It was a spontaneous thing where the fans kicked dirt at a hated rival while they were down. Besides, how can you fault people for simply pointing out the obvious? Today, the Steelers really did suck.

Rediculously fun game. I havent seen the crowd this "into it" in a while. Adding 7NA to our chants repitoire can only be a good thing. The entire place was exploding with it.
Also, not a lot of yellow in the stands, just a spattering, and they were mostly subdued. The Ravens played a brilliant, and complete game. What's better is the O-Line, which I thought would be a weakness for the Ravens this year, held their own very well.
Also, there is not one bad seat in that stadium.

They could have played "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" during that game yesterday and people would have still been going bat s--t crazy over it. I was skeptical about 7NA at first, and I thought that picking a song to be a rally cry was kind of lame, especially since it's already used in some colleges around the country, but there is no denying that it caught on yesterday. It was pretty cool to hear it after the game as people were heading out of the stadium. Who knows, maybe we can reunite the White Stripes to play it live at the stadium...
Yesterday was one of the best experiences I have had at a Ravens game.

Is this the same "Skin I'm In" as the 1970s Sesame Street "Baby Ray Franklin" song (the model for Arrested Development's Franklin Delano Bluth)?

When a stadium full of people sings along to a song that half the people know neither the name of the song or artist who did it, and not even an entire section of fans sing along to the so-called "fight song," that says something.

Meh...I don't see it. Looks like a lockerroom in dissarray to me. No offensive leadership whatsoever. The defense and offense clearly don't respect one another. /end sarcasm
I know it's easy to get up after something like that, but when you have the defensive coordinator hugging offensive players, offensive players high-fiving defensive players, and everything in between, that tells me that there's some modicum of functional chemistry in that lockerroom that facilitates winning.

It's true. You should have seen the locker room after the Jacksonville game. The defensive players completely ignored the offense, and then the defense totally ditched the offense and went to Applebee's without them.
