The "he" would be Tiger Woods...at least I hope he is.

He won his first tourney in 2 years today.

Yes, it was a smaller field than usual and yes it was more of an unofficial event but it was important for him to get this win.

He has played well for 3 straight tourneys now(including Presidents Cup)...He is getting his swing where it needs to be and appears to be healthy.

I, for one, am excited to finally watch him be good again.

I have barely watched golf the last few years because he has been a non factor. I am hoping this will carry over to next year and beyond.

Tiger is now the favorite to win the Masters...crazy.

Golf. The TV sport that makes:
- watching paint dry seem exciting.
- the NHL seem important
- the Lawn Bowling Association think they still have a chance at a TV contract
- me miss the Wide World of Sports where I could watch crash up derbys, Sumo wrestling, and barrel jumping
- male tennis a valuable sports alternative

Who's got more? ;)

All of this is true....if Tiger isn't winning.

I'll watch every Major regardless of how Tiger is doing.

Anyway, Tiger beat a field of 18 and didn;t play particularly well the last 2 days. The last two holes were classic Tiger though. I mean I think he's on his way back to contender for sure but he's still not putting the ball well. Until that impoves, I'm not picking him to win any deep field big tournament.

Tiger is one of the main reasons I can't stand ESPN. No matter what he does, it's the main story at the tournament. If Tiger misses the cut...who cares who the champion is? I mean...it's just so stupid.

I watched golf for almost a decade before Woodsmania emerged. Golf preceded him. Golf will succeed him. If he's an also-ran most of the time for the rest of his career, it's all the same to me.

Truth is, Golf needs Tiger to regain his form. Granted, there are other young faces starting to make a name for themselves, but Golf is more exciting and fun to watch when Tiger is playing at his best.

As far as he being favored to win the 2012 Masters, I say Why not? He is still a threat to win any tournament he plays in. When in control, he is the best in the world, and its a matter of time until he regains the #1 ranking again IMO.

I hope he is back. I think it has to be huge for his confidence.

Those last 2 holes were VINTAGE Tiger. Zach Johnson hits a great shot on the par 3, Tiger puts it inside. Johnson misses the putt, Tiger sinks it. On 18, Johnson hits a very nice approach, Tiger does him one better. And of course, Johnson misses, Tiger makes. If this happened 5 years ago, we would have all been sitting their watching and this would have been the obvious result. He hadn't done it in quite awhile, but if he is back..look out PGA. Could be an interesting 2012!

I used to think the same thing. Then 2 years ago I started to play golf, starting at the ripe ol' age of 34-35, and now that I see how difficult the game is, I watch every tournament every weekend. These guys make it look so easy, but I know from experience now just how friggin hard the game really is.

I love it. Its the only sport where you can suck for an hour, then hit ONE good shot and feel like you're a pro...

...only to finish with a 120! lol Yeah, I suck, but I love it!

*BUMP*

A Bogey Free, 2 under 1st round, and currently 4 under thru 15 in the second round, and is hitting all greens in regulation. Sluggish putting at times, but that will improve. Looks like Abu Dhabi is gonna see the worlds greatest make his return.

I absolutely love playing golf, even though I am not great at it.

I absolutely can't stand watching golf on TV.
