Here's a very good video of Duquette's most recent interview. For those who were concerned about his grammar, he uses a lot of the first person plural which should reassure those who didn't think he was speaking as though he were apart of the team. IMO this is DD's best interview so far.

Below the video is an excellent article about the O's international scouting efforts. It not only talks about what the O's have been doing but it illustrates what other teams have done as well. The story about KCs fifth rated prospect is unreal. It shows that good talent can come from anywhere.

I thought the comment on starting young pitchers out in the bullpen and then putting them in the rotation if they do well was an interesting thought. I think that'd be up to Buck more so but it makes me rethink guys like Matusz and Arrieta and what the Orioles might do with them. I wonder if its possible that thats a route they might take. I'd kind of like to see that so I can least watch them pitch and not depend on minor league box scores to see how they're doing. It may also help them last through the entire season without getting so tired.

Thanks for the posting the video! I enjoyed watching it. Especially watching him fight off questions about Kim like gnats at a little league game.

Yea he sure gives you a lot to think about. With so many people competing, the young guy from last year could end up in the rotation or they could end up in AAA. It's going to be an interesting spring.
