Daniels Named Director of Player Development

Phillip Daniels was let go by the Redskins as a player before the 2011 season, but has been brought back to the organization as the team's new director of player development.

I love this move. The guy has a lot of respect from both the players and coaching staff. I've read hints that this is one of multiple moves to make sure Davis and Trent stay on the field going forward.

I agree. He is a great character and work ethic guy. Just another example of Shanahan trying build a strong leadership core.
