Which bar?
The new rooftop bar in centerfield. Just sat here and watched BP, had a Gino giant and a few natty bohs. Awesome.

Keep the reports coming - how's the weather, hotties - er - hot BP, Amber sightings, bullpen warmups - we're starving w/o MASN here in FL!
What are the prices like? Lower before the game starts?
Ummm, no. $8 beers and $8.50 drafts. Flying dog pale ale, natty, miller and bud on tap. You pay for the view.

I'm really interested in seeing that Rooftop bar plus the new right field standing area in person. It looks great from the limiting angles I'm getting from the pre-game shots...

I won't be going there then...at least before the game.
Enjoy it though. I wish I was there instead of at work.

For now. I do think that I will spend a couple games there while I can.

Yup. There is a max capacity of 350 people allowed up. so just a heads up if you're going to a game that is well attended like opening day you're going to have to get there early. But it's well worth it.

Thanks for the answers guys. I plan on going down Monday or Tuesday. Normally sit in the bleachers but the rooftop bar seems like a better idea.
Are theres chairs up there too?!
Sounds awesome...looking forward to checking it out.

They have a great two tiered balcony with stools that overlook centerfield. First come first serve. Plus they have a lounge area and the bar with barstools. Definitely better than bleachers if you can get a seat on the balcony.

Went to the game yesterday - this seriously is an amazing addition to the ballpark. Simply genius. I absolutely loved it.
One thing I wanted to add is that I overheard an usher up there talking with a fan about how the O's would eventually be charging for those front row seats. Which I actually think makes sense. Let everyone up there, but charge for those primo seats (which already have numbers on them, which is another hint). Because seriously, they are amazing seats. But good on the O's for letting everyone up there for this season to check it out.
Also, overheard that the bar up there will eventually have food.

I was going to post the same exact thing. I was up there before the game and was sitting in some of the seats. The seats have numbers on them so they could sell them. My guess is it would be a hot ticket to the lesser extent of the seats above the green monster at Fenway. If they add food and a bathroom(somehow, don't think they could) it would be great.

They are going to start charging with the seat numbers on the front row seats. I think they wanted to get everything into place before doing this. My friend asked me how much are those seats because they had numbers on them.

It's my new favorite place in the ballpark to watch games. Sorry flagcourt.
Plenty of room, people aren't jam-packed in. There are outdoor couches, umbrellas, 52" HDTVs in the bar area so you won't miss a single pitch. A really, really fun place.

Nice article by Ricard Gorelick, from the Sun. No longer doing movie reviews for the City Paper. Let's try to keep Yankee fans out of the front row seats for the next three games.
The choice seats on the new Roof Deck at Camden Yards are first-come, first-served. So far, that seems to be working. On Saturday night, a few fans wearing Minnesota Twins gear had successful commandeered a few of the front-row stools under the overhang, and no one seemed to begrudge them them. I'm sure pity played a factor.
The way this works, at least for now -- the Orioles have said they may revisit the way this works -- is that the Roof Deck is open to all ticket-holding fans, whether they paid $70 or $10. Oriole fans may not be thrilled when Yankee and Red Sox fans take over the yard. But Oriole fans aren't blind to the money visiting fans have been pumping into Baltimore's economy over the years.
The Roof Deck sits just above the new concession stand that Gino's Burgers and Chicken shares with Stuggy's, a purveyor of gourmet hot dogs. On Friday, the Camden Dog, topped with crab mac-and-cheese, outsold Stuggy's other three dogs by a 10 to one margin, Stuggy's owner Stuart Perlberg told me.
On Saturday, I tried one of the new Gino's Camden Giants, a pile-up of a crab cake and hamburger on a sesame-seed bun. It worked for me. I think I'd like a different sauce, one that complements the crab cake and the burger both, but the crab flavor survives intact. It's an unpretentious sandwich, and an easy one to eat. It wouldn't work nearly as well with a jumbo-lump cake and an eight-ounce burger. As fast food, it's a fun treat, if no bargain -- $16 with fries.

We went to Pickles pre-game. It was SO crowded that we went in the tailgate entrance, forced our way thru the crowd, and immediately left. We decided to just go into the Park, and we went right up to the Rooftop Bar. AWESOME! Its SO great, its almost hard to believe it took them 20 years to come up with this. Feels like its always been there. We got our first beer of the 2012 season up there, watched a little BP, and then left. From our seats in LF, we could see the place was packed the entire game. That, the flag court, and the new statue area are really going to add to the Park. Great job by the Orioles!

I don't see how you'd have to pay to get into a bar inside of a stadium that you already paid to get inside of...all for the reward of paying $8 for a 16 oz beer.
Even with the Orioles being the Orioles and some of the bad decisions they have recently made re: ticket prices and fees, they would have to be pretty elfin' stupid to do this.

Just speculating, but I would assume the bar will be open to everyone, whereas the 40 seats or so would be sold as tickets, just as any other seat in the Park. I think they almost have to do this, because as word spreads, you're gonna have people fighting for those seats.

We noticed that on Opening Day. On the side by Boog's the line extended all the way across Eutaw Street. The other side (by the entrance to the picnic area) had no one and they were letting anyone up there.
