View Full Version : What would it be like if both the Nats and Orioles played each other next month in first place?

Do you think the games at the park would feel different? Would a rivalry be starting?

It would certainly be more exciting than in years past.

I'd say it would be a pretty big deal even if they both have winning records.

The teams play on May 18-20. On those same dates in 2005, the Orioles were in first place and the Nats were within .5-1.0 games of first place. Unfortunately, MLB didn't have the Nats and Orioles playing that year. That would have been awesome.

This year, I am going on May 19 and 20 at Nats park, 3rd row seats right behind the O's dugout. It would be really fun if both teams were still playing well then. I have to say, I like the Nats' chances of being in 1st place then better than ours.

I thought you were the bad luck charm for the O's? You should give those bad seats away to someone who can bring the O's luck.:)Please go on the OH ticket exchange and give those tickets away. The fate of the O's are in your hand.

Ravens / Redskins should be fun. The rivalry between Baltimore and Washington could be a very good one. Blue collar vs White collar, it's a natural. Those in the middle (I grew up in Columbia) should be forced to pick a side:)

I've got my tix.

I hate the Nats and I'm from NoVA. I'm mostly just bitter, beaten down Orioles fan. Watching their ascent as a franchise and hearing people who had no prior interest in baseball talk about them just makes me want to puke.

Same thing happened with the Ravens. It happens.

It would be interesting for sure, you may actually see more than a handful of Nationals fans driving up to Baltimore to root on their team for the first time. I'll be down in DC for at least one of the O's games. I had the misfortune of attending last years 17-5 loss at Camden Yards.
