Are they gonna get this in?
Anyone know if Bruce Chen is 100% recovered from that line drive he took off the shin against Tampa Bay last week? I definitely attribute his poor performance on the injury. The guy just never seems to pitch right when he also has to worry about pain (shin, toe or otherwise).
I'm catching bonus coverage on the Sox/Rays game.
20 some thousand 'fans' in the Trop. 90% of which are cheering on Schilling!
Really, enough of this Tampa Bay mess.
They really should just build a stadium in Fort Lauderdale on the water somewhere and mesh these two franchises together. Put them in the NL, AL, whatever.

I think so. This is a pretty severe front coming through, but it seems like the worst of it has drifted east of Balmer already (at 7:24)....its going to be about 15 degrees cooler than it was at 5 p.m.

I remember like 20 years ago I went to a game where they had a seat cushion promotion. Thes things were absolutely the cheapest pieces of crap ever. The ump made a horrible call in the game and you saw thousands of seat cushions soar on the field like frisbees. Hilarious

Cool man. Yeah, the Comcast here in Phoenixville, PA shows the Phillies all the time. I only catch the O's now when they're on ESPN. The 1 thing I miss most about not living in Carlisle anymore is the lack of O's coverage. But now, I got my friends email and password for mlb.tv! Bwahahahahhaha!

For those without visuals. Please describe that last play. Feel free to embellish, i.e., Tejada used the force to snare the ball from the sky and threw a 200 mph strike to Roberts for the best double play known to man, or Jedi. Something like that.

Leaping/diving grab of a shot up the middle, flipped to Roberts for the easy DP at second. Saved two runs.
If Jeter makes that play (and he rarely does) ESPN would have stopped all programming on every network and discussed it for the next 45 minutes.

Michael Kay is such an ass, especially when the Yanks are losing. Paul O'Neill says something like "He made it to second, he should hve tried for third." I gotta say people, I think I had a lot to do with Sammy's recent success. I picked him up on my fantasy team a while back after somebody had dropped him, and he then had his struggles. So I figured with my my luck in fantasy leagues if I dropped him, he'd go on a run. I could have kept him and just hoped he got out of it because I had room to stash him away on my bench, but my superstitious nature told me to drop him.
The very next day he hit that 2 run bomb against the Twins...There is no way I pick him back up now :)

Me too. It's funny seeing old people wear them too. They're trying to be all hip and cool, but they're in their thirties or forties. Next, they're going to be wearing pink Abercrombie shirts with the collar up and a pair of Hollister jeans. But they'll still be 37 years old with a wife, 2.4 kids, and a mortgage.
