I don't think he is doing too much anymore...He does one of his interview sessions every once in a while in primetime with a few athletes but other than that, he hasn't been in the spotlight in a while.

Probably relishes this oppurtunity to write about his favorite team, interact with the fans and just enjoy it.

Yea, Haynie is by far and away the #1 guy in Baltimore IMO.

Cool news Tony! Thanks to you and to all of you!

It is funny that the announcement was made on WNST, and that Firestone brings us even more respectability, but the so-called sports jornalist Drew just said the other day on the same radio station that he has never seen OH and doesn't know what we do! :D Every time Nestor and Drew gain an ounce of credibility with me, they then go and lose a pound right back!

Well, since I've actually shaken hands with Drew in the station before going on after him I doubt very much he's never heard of OH.

If Drew did said that, well, I guess that tell's you all you need to know about his knowledge of the Baltimore sports scene.

Either way, I choose to announce on Bob Haynie's show on WNST because Bob's been a huge supporter of the Hangout throughout the years and there's no one in the business in Baltimore sports radio that's better or more knowledgeable.

We're extremely honored and excited to have Roy Firestone writing some stuff for us. After talking with him on the phone today for about 20 minutes, you quickly understand how passionate he is about the Orioles and baseball in general. The fact that he talked about how he enjoys reading many of the posters on the boards and the writers on the Hangout was just icing on the cake.
