I've been thinking lately about how great of a baseball resource the hangout is, and how we have fans of other teams (cubs/cardinals etc.) who regularly read and post here just for the genuine baseball banter.

What are some of the other highly respectable baseball message boards out there? I'd love to hear some baseball talk from other perspectives.

Here's a thread from a Yanks board with links to various team forums. Some are good, some are bad.....but it's a start. Very few teams have a site of Hangout quality.

sonofsamhorn has been around for quite some time and sometimes I will go there to see what those guys are saying about the O's just because there seems to be a good amount of knowledgeable fans, like here.

Yeah, and not just the baseball stuff, the other sports forums are really good as well. The Mark Blount's Port Cellar (Celtics) and Rick Middleton's Porn 'Stache (Bruins) subforums are fantastic. They remind me a lot of Orioles-level misery when it comes to mismanagement and overall suck. This year's NBA lottery game thread was an instant classic.
