Likely ends a very good career for the oldest player in baseball.

Mets are making room for Milledge, makes sense for them, Franco hasn't been productive at all this year, and wasn't good last year either.

I hope someone picks him up (not us). I'd like to see someone playing professional baseball at the age of 50, I know that's his goal.

They need VETERANOSITY in the pinch hitting department, probably.

They have 13 pitchers right now so they have room for another bat. Why they chose Franco to be that bat, no idea.
