Even without the Bedard bobblehead, it was an entertaining game tonight. Liz pitched 5 2/3, with one run, which scored on McCurdy's wild pitch. McCurdy pitched a solid 2 1/3 scoreless with McCrory getting the save. I think McCrory is new since he doesn't have a name on his jersey. Anyways, McCrory threw a 96 mph fastball and followed it up with a 76 mph off speed pitch. I am pretty sure it was McCrory (too many Mc's) Regardless it was solid.

On offensive, Whiteside hit a homerun that I thought was a popup, but somehow got over. Bass went 2/3 at the plate, but slipped in RF allowing a triple. He has a cannon and almost nailed the runner at third though. Bobby Andrews nailed the same runner at home on a sac fly. (Whiteside tagged the runner too high, but Bowie still got the call).

Final result Bowie 3, Erie 1. I got my $9 worth tonight.

Forgot to add a note about Liz. He did throw a lot of pitches (at least I thought), but his velocity was consistently around 95-96. I thought he was impressive. Just has to get that control down.

I was at this game too - Liz looked really good - not sure how many K's he had but it had to have been at least one an inning.

I was gonna ask about Liz's velocity but you already answered that. Looks like he had 8 K's in 5 2/3.
