I've noticed that the O's have already signed 3/5 of their 2007 draft class. Which is more than they usually sign, especially in the later rounds. I was just wondering what you all might think as to the reasons why?
a) Is it a better draft class?
b) Is it because you can't draft and follow anymore?
c) Is it a concerted effort by the O's to strengthen the farm clubs?
d) All of the above
I think it is D. With a heavy emphasis on C. As we have more farm teams than in previous years(which is a good idea IMO).

August 15th deadline is many months earlier than it used to be. I think that alone accounts for any differences.
