After getting Tex, it looks like the Braves are after Dotel now too. Sounds like a big day in ATL.

Not only are the Braves getting Mark Teixeira, but they're close to acquiring Octavio Dotel from the Royals, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
Going for broke. No word on what the Braves would give up. Yunel Escobar was surely a topic of conversation, but Atlanta probably isn't parting with him for a rental. Shortstop Brent Lillibridge, RHP Tommy Hanson and outfielder Jordan Schafer are candidates to be involved.

Wow....Good for Atlanta...I root for the Braves more than any other NL team because of the respect i have for how they do things.

They certainly seem to be making a strong push for it this year. Maybe another move by them would send the Mets into a panic, and we could work out something with them.

I agree, especially with Beltran being DLed. Only thing is that leaves them with less leverage to trade Milledge..

I'm fine with getting guys like Pelfrey or Humber. We could then deal them for some hitters, or deal some of our own guys for hitters.
