Other than one really bad customer service guy I got on the phone once, I have no problem with Comcast. Do you have a problem with their cable service or internet?

Exactly. I can always go with another company for internet but I like the speed, so I just have to suck it up and rant about it on occasion.

Assuming your area even gets the damn thing. Hell, my neighborhood has been around for five years, and we still don't get DSL; I don't live in the boonies, either. Granted, I wouldn't switch from cable to DSL in a million years, but even if I wanted to I wouldn't have the option.

Is FIOS even faster? I thought it depended on your area, and I heard it can be very finicky. Maybe I'm thinking of something else though.

Run the test several times on different servers. Your speed is the best speed you get, not the average. Usually the fastest server is the closest one, "Speakeasy" NY was fastest for me.

I agree that Comcast sucks. Cable went out this weekend. I called them, and after getting a busy signal for awhile, a voice said, " we are extremly busy right now. Please call back later." and then hung up on me. What kind of customer service is that.

Anyway, I now have to miss work on wednesday to have the cable guy coem out and fix it. How can one live with no cable for three days????

Comcast blows, at least in Alabama. Screw it, I think I just despise all cable companies.

I've had Comcast since it arrived in this area and have never really had a problem with them up until this year. My two problems:

1. The Price is getting a bit outrageous.

2. They took the damn NFL Network away from me. It's now $4.99 extra per month or something. What a crock.

An example of why I hate Comcast. Thirteen times in 16 days my internet has gone out. Service call today supposed to be from 7-9:00 a.m. Get a call at 8:30, they are on the way. 9:15, no Comcast. I call, said they'd be at my house by 10:15. 10:30 the guy shows up, tells me everything is okay but there is a low signal at the pole, nothing he can do. Now, someone else has to come out and fix the signal on the pole. The service tech also told me he didn't leave until 8:30 and had three houses to service before he got to me. Geez, I hate Comcast.

With my firewall enabled, I still pull at 2,311, which is 50% faster than full T1. The scores I get are 3-4 times faster than what I used to get with COMCAST. Also, my service is cheaper than what COMCAST charged because I had the audacity not to use their cable system but DIRECTV.
