Just wanted to tell people there is a wonderful article on BP on the inequities of the MLB draft by Kevin Goldstein.
Don't know if it is kosher to post it but would like to discuss with others who have read it.
One tidbit was how there are players like Jason Heyward (ATL) who have unofficially signed. They aren't official yet because he signed for overslot money, so MLB has to approve. Will MLB reject it? No, they will just yell at a couple people for doing it, but will move on.
Bet the Yanks are unhappy about going overslot money for Joba Chamberlin and Ian Kennedy.
It did state that one GM states all 1st round picks will be signed though.
