Oh i think so, especially nationally.
People were still mentioning him at the deadline as if he was some savior for some team.
I don't think this guy is much more than a #4 starter in the AL.

Well ok, then yes, we can drop the notion.:)

I think a lot of people on this site would still be willing to deal 2-3 good young players for him as well.

The Marlins blew it by holding onto Willis this long.
Perhaps you can justify it in light of their efforts to get a new stadium, but from a purely baseball standpoint, they missed their window here bigtime.

100% agree....Heck, they still may have gotten a Milledge and pitching prospect package from the Mets at the deadline.

Girardi...I would suspect Willis is tired. The best thing for him would be to sit the rest of the season.

I've sure dropped it. Watched some of his game against the Phillies last night and he looked terrible.

He was a flash-in-the-pan lefty with a wacky delivery that fooled hitters. They ain't fooled anymore and his stuff never really impressed me. Not a ton of velocity or movement.
Just an average pitcher and boy has he been terrible this year.

He stinks. He can't even do things right off the field. Bad pitcher, bad person.

Not as funny as the Lohan or Nolte (the best ever!) mug shot, but a mug shot never the less makes me smile.
Ahhh! Nick Nolte!

That's how every one I talk to about it justifies it, but I just can't agree with it. He is just not the same pitcher anymore, and I don't see it getting any better any time soon.
