How much does it cost the NFL for one football, how bout MLB?

I know players get fined like $300 for putting a ball in the stands on purpose in the nfl...

I've wondered the same thing. It amazes me just how many balls are used in a single game of baseball and how much one game must cost, and then multiplied for every game. What happens to the balls after they're "used"? Seems like quite a waste if they don't go somewhere.

I believe the majority of balls are probably removed from play by the umpire and are put into the batting practice bins.

It's a minor expense for baseball. The NFL are a bunch of cheapskates.
