I'm so glad you've brought other people into this charming situation that you deal with daily.

Work is pretty much the only place I can fart. I'm alone 70% of the time.

It is AUDIBLE from at least 10 feet away. NOT. COOL.

I'm in a God-forsaken cube farm. With a guy who has some kind of chronic gastro-intestinal distress. He's very nice, but the audible farts are a bit much.

Your co-worker needs a bumper sticker I saw the other day. Two of my friends and I were on the New Jersey turnpike and we saw an SUV with one of those little support ribbon stickers. It was white with red writing and borders, which we hadn't seen before. We made my friend who was driving speed up and get behind it so we could read it. It said...

"SUPPORT FARTING"

I kid you not. Maybe this was your co-worker. Did he have occasion to travel south last week and return home via the NJTP?

Sounds like some crop dusting going on.

Very nice.

Well, he's gotta know about it. The least he could do is buy people some air fresheners or spray or something.

Luckily, I'm not close enough that I have to smell it. I only have to hear it. If I smelled it, I would have quit by now.

You may not think the situation could be worse, but trust me, it can be. I know because I live it at my job. If that's the worst of your concerns, you're getting off far easier than I am.

Making me mad making me mad!

See?

My guess is that John-OH can't find the "G" and that's why women are always makin' him mad.

First day back at college for me today. I had horrible gas all day but held it in. Mainly because I knew it wasn't just gas, it was toxic. I tried to squeeze a few out in between classes while outside but they were fully withdrawn by that point. I had to wait until the end of the day and oh man, was it worth the wait.

*farts at work - albeit (mostly) discreetly*

What? I'm a man...

I used to have a boss who would just fart away while talking to you. I mean like 4 or 5 times in a 60 second conversation. He wouldn't acknowledge it in the least. And me, forever the third grader, thought it was pretty damn funny - but I didn't laugh. I just kept a pen clamped in my jaw so he couldn't see me cracking up inside.

Update:
Farting on packed, rush hour subway trains? Also unacceptable. Don't do that either.

Heck, I just take a walk (most of the time) around the cube floor. By the time someone takes the time to stand up and look around, I'm around the next corner.:D

I just pray it wasn't a product of the dreaded "shart"

It was one of those times when you knew you had to be careful when farting or it COULD have been a shart. That's another reason I ended up holding it in so long.

That's why I never sit on subways unless the car is almost completely empty. Otherwise, if the train gets crowded around you after you sit down, people can fart in your face. That's the worst.

My first class I attended in college I tried to drop a silent but deadly one on my new classmates. Unfortunately it came out very loud and deadly. Great first impression. I tried to play it off, but what can you do?

The federal air-quality regulations call farts "occupant-generated bioeffluents."

It's hard to fart in the workplace when your workplace is a small souvenier shop. I try to wait for there to be no customers, or step outside. If there are a lot of customers, the goal is to let it fly out on the floor so as to draw suspicion that it may be another customer. You don't want any of the smell to be coming from behind the counter.

What happens when a catcher has to fart in the workplace... with the umpire leaning right over him? I bet Ramon Hernandez does that a lot and that's why our pitchers get hosed on so many calls. On the other hand, maybe J. R. House does it even more and that's why he's not allowed to catch. :002_stongue:

Oh, and by the way... ever wonder how Paul Bako still has a job? His PED is Beano. :p
