...Cal broke the streak!!!!!! Hey, at least us O's fans can live off of that, right?
Best night i have ever had at the stadium(or any sporting event) by far.
BTW, it is the 11 year anniversary of Eddie's 500th as well.

No I just don't like to really remember that memory of Eddie because he was an over the hill player hanging on to get a milestone. Not his best days, I prefer to remember Eddie from the Memorial Stadium days.....

Eddie got some big hits for the 96 Orioles. I can remember a grand slam against I think Toronto in a tight game and a walk off hit or sac fly in another game. Our DH's other than when Bobby Bo DH'ed were terrible that year and Eddie did help the team. It is a shame he didn't retire after that year. Was he the same Eddie from the late 70's and 80's no, but he was still a usefull player that year.

Non Cal related "positive memories" since 2131
Eddies 500th
Palmerio's 3000th (yes I know he tested positive for 'riods after)
Weaver HOF Induction (96)
Wildcard in 96
Wire-to-wire in 97
O's visit Cuba in 99 (First to do so since '59) and host them later in the year (That was an awesome game to see BTW)
Murray HOF Induction (03)
No, there isn't a whole lot of positive to cheer about but it's not just Ripken that we can celebrate recently.

Most players that get to 500 HR aren't in their prime anymore.

What was sad was on the O's Jumbo-Tron today they were playing O's classic hightlights & they only showed Cal at the HOF.
Is this the best Angelos can do?
Not taking away from this thread...but Cal & the streak is like the only O's highlight that seems to be mentioned by the O's organization.
