Wow, this place is getting pruned much quicker. The original thread seems to be gone already.
Anyway, Shia LaBeouf apparentely "leaked" the title at the VMA's for the fourth Indy movie. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. What a mouthful. :D
Also, I quoted "leaked" since I believe he was being a rebellious kid about as much as I believe I can fly. I'm sorry, you don't get up on a stage and say "I've been sworn to secrecy by Lucas and Spielberg but screw that," like he did. That was totally staged. :)

Plus, if you're going to say "screw that" to any two guys in Hollywood, I'm pretty sure you don't pick those two to go against. :D

Definitely staged. LaBeof sounded like it knew it was a lame way to set up the bit too. Anyway, the title sounds meh but I am looking forward to the film big time.

The Phantom Menace also sounded lame and look how that turned out. Err... nevermind.

I'm kinda disppointed they didn't go with "...and the City of the Gods."

Was that a title they were deciding on? If so, it's only natural that George Lucas would make the wrong decision.
Maybe he should work for the O's.

Hey, Spielberg screwed the pooch on this one, too. And yes, it was. There were several titles registered with the MPAA: Indiana Jones and the City of Gods, Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds, Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Gold, Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Covenant.

He's also replacing Indy's bullwhip with a licorice whip, and his leather jacket with a Members Only jacket, and his fedora with a bowler.
