I really hate how I have to use an electronic wallet to put money into online poker. No credit cards will let you use them, and even a PayPal Virtual Debit card will not work. So I have to use this MyWebATM garbage to get my money into Full Tilt. It costs $2.82 to put my money from my bank account into MyWebATM, and they charge $3.95 a month to maintain a balance. To get money out of the service and back into my bank account, they charge $4.
So, having not used it in a month, and having no balance, I assumed the $3.95 would not be charged to me. The minimum deposit into Full Tilt is $50. So, I transfer $50 into MyWebATM, which costs me $52.82. I go to deposit into Full Tilt, and find that I can't, because they deducted the $3.95 for the last month that I didn't have any money in there. Apparently, they just put your balance at -$3.95, and if you decide to use it again, that money comes out of your deposit. So now I have to put $4 into there to cover that $3.95, which ends up costing me $6.82 because of the fee.
I finally get on Full Tilt, and some guy catches runner runner deuces to make quads to beat my pocket kings. Oh well, at least I'm up $120 on the day.

I haven't deposited since before the latest legislation that banned it. Can't even remember what system I used... it wasn't Neteller (or whatever it was called) because that was banned in MD even earlier. FirePay, maybe?
Anyway, I'm still slowly building a bankroll. Hoping the feds get their act together and change the rules to allow easier transactions. (Or hoping the US loses that Antigua-WTO case and that forces change. Ha! Like that will happen.)
Still a fun way to pass the time.

I used to be on Bodog, and they did direct depositing from my checking account that I set up specifically for online poker (with a different bank than my main checking and savings accounts are). That was nice, and cashing out was nice too, because it would go right in my bank account, no fees.
I had used Neteller on FTP until they stopped accepting US accounts. MyWebATM has a shorter waiting period between telling it to get money from my account and it actually showing up on my MyWebATM account (usually within 18-24 hours) than ePassporte, but I haven't really looked at ePassporte very hard. If their fees are that much less, I may try them out.
I used to like Bodog, but I think Full Tilt is better for me, since I can't blow all my poker winnings on sports. Bodog, I used to bet on baseball parlays. Usually small bets, like $5 or $10. It was fun to have a vested interest in a lot more games than the O's, but I make more money through Full Tilt and my lack of sports betting. Plus, the Omaha Hi games on Bodog were crap. They're much more populated on FTP.

Internet poker is such a joke IMO. When you have the money in with the best hand you just don't win. People play so loose. People call you down until the river with a hand they should have mucked at every stage, including pre flop, and then end up sucking out.
Just really bad.
I don't know what to tell you. Maybe bump up a level or two and play against better players and not the riff-raff? Or play tighter when the maniacs show their playing tendencies? Some of the suck-outs are amazing though.

Yeah...I don't know, the playing might improve as the stakes get higher, but it's still generally pretty bad IMO.
I remember I had a sheet full of hands that I lost on, with the percentages, when we both had our money in and I had the best hand. From just about 4 hours of playing...It was pretty sick.
I just think you see things online, whether it's how actual play, or how the cards fall, that you will never see in a live game. Whether thats the play, the site, or both, who knows.
It's also the sheer number of hands you see in a short amount of time. Hands are instant. There's no shuffling of cards.
I play 3 or 4 tables at once. Usually one $1/2 table, and 2 or 3 $.50/1 tables. That's an insane number of hands per minute.
As far as bad beats go, I went broke (lost $500+) when I flopped quad 6's (had pocket 66, flop came 66T) and the other guy pushed me all in with KTo, and caught runner runner tens to out-quad me. I quit online poker for 8 months after that one.

Suck outs happen in live poker also. If it happens to often to you it is likely that you need to learn more about pot odds and implied odds. I lot of players don't bet their hands properly and give the player with a weak hand great odds all the way down, then complain when the suck out happens. Just remember that there are professional poker players that have a reputation of hitting alot of rivers because they see alot of rivers.
