Sucks for Sams....He is a big part of our team...Hopefully Figurs can take his place.
Let JO stay out until the bye week...See how it goes after that...We don't really need him until the second part of the season and the playoffs.

That's strange, didn't Sams come back into the game near the end?

No, blown ACL.
Really sad for BJ. He was off to a great start.

Gut feeling that Ogden may have played his last game in his Hall of Fame career.
Terry does play better on the left side and Yanda played fairly well besides for a few penalties. Still nowhere as good as J.O. but I think we are better suited to replace him then we have been in a lot of years.

I say next year, you don't let him play in Cinci, back to back years, season ending injuries. It wouldn't happen, but damn if that's not some weird stuff.
It sucks for us though, hopefully Figurs can step in and contribute as Sams was looking very good early on, giving us good field positon. I don't want Reed back there, that scares me, I don't want him getting hurt.
I've said it earlier and will say it again, it was stupid to start JO, his career could very well be over with.

I agree. Maybe occasionally it would be ok, but I think they have to go with Figurs and hope he doesn't become a fumbler.
It's sad to see Ogden's career wind up like this but it really may be over, at least in any full-time fashion. I'd hope he can at least be healthy enough to come in and play in a few improtant series each game once he heals up a bit.
Too bad we lost Pashos but I thought the rookie played pretty well in his debut at RT.

Yeah, put Reed back there in certain situations. But you drafted Figurs for this reason so you've got to get him out there.
Feel bad for Ogden. But I think this is the end.

This makes you wonder how bad this toe injury really was for Ogden. I mean he hurt it last December, and I remember the inital injury report was he'd maybe miss one game, then it became we will sit him out the last 2 plus have the first round bye to get him ready for Indy and even in that game he still needed to be shot up to play. Now here it is in September and the toe is still a problem!

From all reports I've seen its a different injury and has nothing to do with his old injury. I think the most recent thing I saw said a hyperextension.
He may make it back, but if he does I don't see him playing till well into the second half of the season.

Dude, turf toe is result of hyperextension. They're by and large the same injury, just different ways of putting it.

You must be reading the National Equirer because every Sun article and antional artical says that the injury he sustained last regular season(and thus re-aggravated in the Indy game) is what is healing and what he must overcome. Specialists told him it would take 4-6 months to heal. So, on the worse case, that takes us into July...he stated, in TC, that it was getting better by the week. But obviously, it is not ready for football activities yet.
It is more of a pain threshold thing than anything else.

It's official (http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2007/09/its_official.html)
The Ravens just sent out a release confirming that return specialist B.J. Sams (torn anterior cruciate ligament) has been placed on injured reserve, thus ending his season. Running back Cory Ross has been promoted to the active roster from the practice squad, and wide receiver Romby Bryant has been signed to the practice squad.
Please tell me they aren't seriously considering him as the kick returner? I got ulcers watching him try to do it last season.
