All things considered.......playing the Jets on our home opener after losing last week/Jets are starting a backup/Willis usuallly tears them up etc.

Why even rish putting McNair on the field and having him hurt himself worse and be out 4-5 weeks when by resting him this week,he could heal and be ready for next week.

I don't want to hear that letting Boller play the entire games gives us a much worse chance to win in what most people are calling a "must win" game. If Billick was 100% sure that Boller couldn't handle the situation....he wouldn't have called all those damn pass plays last week when almost every other coach in the NFL would have just tied the game up by Running the football.

I just see how the Jets have much of a chance this week,if we are ever going to rest our starting QB and try to get back to 100% healthy...why not do it this week?

There really is no reason for McNair to be playing. Boller has had all the reps this week in practice with the first team offense, so he should be more than ready. We will need McNair later on in the season when we get to the "tougher" portion of the schedule. It will not hurt for McNair to be the #2 for a week and rest up for the Cardinals.

Boller gives us a much better chance to win, both this week with McNair banged up and in the future when McNair is at full strength. He's simply a better QB at this point. Hopefully he has a huge game and will remain the starter regardless of McNair's health.

McNair's not going to play, folks.
