I mean, what the hell? That's... not how actual baseball works. You spend most of the season placing yourself for the playoffs, and then... the entire order that was created all season needs to be completely reordered? Why? For people in the OH ESPN league... have you looked at that "bracket?" It's the most confusing mess I've ever seen. What's the point of all that consolation? When you lose in the playoffs, you lose. You don't fight to be the best of the losers. It's just weird to me.

It sorts out 3rd, 4th, 5th place etc. I think the ESPN bracket is so even people who didn't make the playoff bracket can still play the last few weeks. I think it's kinda fun.
p.s. This is the first time I've ever made the finals, my best fantasy league ever. I've made the playoffs most every league I've been in (like 10 of 12) but I've NEVER won a playoff game! Not one. Til this year.

I know this... but it's not how baseball works. You lose in the playoffs, you lose, you're done. There's no need to completely reorder everything. It's not like they have consolation playoffs in MLB so all the players can keep having fun.
Really, I'm just pissed that I have to keep updating my rosters every single day. Having 9 teams gets tiring, and when you're losing in half of them it starts to seem like a damn burden. But even if I'm fighting for some random 9th place spot, I feel like an ass if I stop playing, like people who give up in August.
Can't wait for next year's drafts though.

Once I don't advance in the playoffs (or don't even make it), I pretty much don't pay attention. Who cares about the consolation bracket anyway???

I do. I played MChance tooth and nail for the 5th place game in the Yahoo league. And lost... never give up never give up never give up!
They do this for fantasy football too. I don't have a problem with it. Keeps everyone involved and it doesn't take that much effort unless you have a ton of teams. I like to stay in the 3-4 range with teams per season.
So what's the verdict on the ESPN OH league? Do we want to make it a keeper or move it elsewhere or what? I have to say that found the ESPN format frustrating (with the exception of immediate stat updates) but would be for turning it into a keeper there or elsewhere.
After that rocky start with the technical problems and settings controversies, things got interesting in the second half. (And damn you, Tope for edging me in the quarters...or I should say damn you, Kevin Youkilis for getting hurt when I needed you most).
