I am really liking what i see out of Willis so far.

He had his first 100 yard game today.(Last week he got over 100 yards but lost a few yards on his last carry and ended with like 98)

He has also rushed for 97 yards in a game.

His first week, he ran all over Cinci but didn't get the ball enough to get to 100 yards.

He could easily have 4 100 yard games but he is only averaging 20 carries a game and has had 2 games with under 20 carries.

He is averaging a very solid 4.7 ypc. He has also been solid catching the ball out of the backfield as well.

He needs the ball more, especially since MCNair is hurt.

He needs to be carrying it 25-30 times a game and getting another 2-5 catches a game.

In other words, give him 30+ touches a week.

I agree, when Jamal was tiptoeing he was getting 20+ carries every week, McGahee is actually getting yards.

If he averages 20 carries a week, that's 320 for the year, quite a bit. I'd say 20-25 carries is a good number for him, don't want to overwork him.

Obviously he had less today due to the score. He's looking good so far, I'd agree with that.

I want him to be more like 350ish.

And, for right now, with McNair hurting, he needs to be getting it more.

Well that'd be 22 carries a game.

Right now with McNair hurting, they need to put in Boller. I thought they were supposed to play him some anyway, what happened to that?

I have no idea why Boller didn't get in today....McNair obviously wasn't stepping into throws and he tweaked his groin during the game.

They also obviously needed to go downfield in the second half and weren't doing it because McNair couldn't.

It is a joke that Billick didn't make the change.

I am so tired of this McNair is a warrior crap. We need to win. He shouldn't be playing if he isn't 100%.

Put him under that kind of load and he's going to break down. 20-25 touches is where he should be.

I am not going to turn this into another McNair argument but saying we didn't go down field because he couldn't is wrong. They had a 3 score lead, they weren't going to give up any quick scores and backed off a lot in the 2nd half. Also, McNair overthrew Willaims down the sideline in the fourth on a 45 yard throw so the noodle arm, not being able to throw the ball far statement isn't true either. That said if McNair isn't 100 % Boller should be starting until he is 100%. This week to week possible sharing time crap has to stop.

As far as the origin of the thread I agree completely. I think the gameplan probably was to ride Willis today but it pretty much went to hell with the 2 early tds. Willis has looked really good and should be the main guy in the offense at this point.

The Ravens think that since McGahee is a different RB than Jamal, they needed to change the entire offense, which it seems like they did. They need to give the ball to McGahee more, that is a fact.

Throwing 51 times against the Brown? They were like 31st in the league vs. the run. You give the ball to McGahee and let him run around and do his thing. The play calling right now is awful. They havent thrown over the defense one time this whole year. All they do is run slants, curls, and outs. Routs that are all under the defense where they can just come up and make teh tackle. You have to keep the defense honest out there. Billick is a terrible play caller and he needs to get it together.

The only thing I'll say in defense of the play-calling is that when you are down by that much, you aren't going to win by running the ball.

Of course, 1) we wouldn't have been down by that much if Billick had thrown the hankie in an appropriate amount of time, and 2) if we wanted to throw, we should have put in the guy that has accuracy on his throws that aren't straight line-drives.
