He has 3 goals now for Benfica. When he came on for the USA during their friendly against the Swiss he dramitically the changed the game. He is developing fantastically now that he is out of the MLS and DC especially. Adu and Jozy will make the U.S. a contender in 2010

I don't know if he "changed the game" against the Swiss but he was an interesting cog. The backheal was nice... Have you seen him play in any of the Benefica games...? I'm just curious to the style that he is playing...

I have only seen extended highlights of the Benfica games. Against the Swiss though, the attack was alot better. Especially with Twellman out of the game. The future of American soccer is looking bright.
He is playing a withdrawn striker I believe with Benfica. He always shines there.

Oh no doubt the future is bright... but as well all know with World Cup teams and international teams... the lingering veterans *eh hem* landy cakes*... can hurt a team. You have to make a choice and a decision within the next 6 months on what team we are going to run with for CONCACAF and '10...

I don't see us competing in '10 unless we got more development out of these young guys like Adu. Argentina looks insane and London are both light years ahead of us in youth talent.

Aregentica definitely looks like the powerhouse for the next cup but - the player development for a stong core of international guys is something that we have never "really" had. Cuz let's face it McBride, Captain America, and Beasely were our international reps... and they peaked in Korea NOT in Germany. Anyway - I think it should be fun and I think Bradley has earned the right to take them the rest of the way - -
