Today seems like a recession is going to come for sure. Anyone else loading up on cash?

I adjusted things about 4 months ago. I didn't move to cash but found some opportunites in other markets, mostly international. Many multinational corporations have to doing well as the dollar continues to fall.

I'm also waiting to buy some of these financials right around when they pre-announce their 4th quarter earnings. Merrill Lynch is down about 50% this year due to their 8.5 billion dollar 3rd quarter writedown. However, 7/8ths of their businesses have been doing extremely well. There is a great opportunity there considering their book value is $80 per share. Once that 1/8th takes care of itself, the stock should start performing again.

I plan on loading up on JPM, but not until this correction happens. I think they are going to become the leaders, but not until 1Q 08 are reported.

I sold MBT today and will sell VIP if the market takes a big hit on Friday.
Russian Wireless is the area I want to be in. Their middle class is expanding and the high oil price only helps them(they out produce Saudi now in oil).
