I got up Mon morning and all I have is a blank screen:( I just hope they can get my stuff off it.
Anyone have any good recomomdations for laptops?
Is it under warranty? You may just need the screen replaced. It happens with laptops.

No more warranty.Its an HP.its 4 years old.I have had ALOT of problems with it!!!:002_scry:

I'd look at a place like TigerDirect and see whatever they're closing out for cheap. If you can give yourself a couple weeks, some good deal will show up. Just a week ago, they had a Toshiba with a great big screen, 2GB RAM, and lots of everything, all for about $800, I thought that was a great deal. Not there at the moment, however.
If you use gmail, you can get about 3 meg's of space that you can also use to back-up whatever matters most to you. There's free Firefox add-ons that do it, dunno about IE...

I went through the blank screen recently with my 3 year old dell laptop. If you have a monitor for a desktop pc, you can connect it to the monitor port located probably on the back panel of your laptop and in that way, you can access your files, and start backing them up on disk. It pays to do it yourself, although you can pay the Geek Squad at Best Buy $75 to do it for you. The cost of a new screen was $300 in my case, which is cheaper than a new laptop.

Yep, 4 yrs old and troublesome... excellent time for a new one... any $ spent to fix it is just money down the drain...

When it is working i use it 24/7.I think ive gotten my $ out of it.Im not great with copmputers!!::o

I bought a new Toshiba Laptop tonight.It was on sale at Best Buy:)
