I've been watching a lot of the games but was curious to know how he's playing this year. It seems like he's having a quiet year compared to last year.

I bring this up b/c I saw a highlight of the Jax/Chargers game yesterday. Jones-Drew put a nasty block on the the rushing Merriman and knocked him COMPLETELY backwards on his backside. Never seen a rushing linebacker get knocked backwards by a stationary RB.

That's what happens when you get off the juice... ;)

That stinks too, because I am a big Merriman fan. I just hate the fact he is on the Chargers.

I can't believe what a nosedive that team took.

The same way Isiah keeps getting jobs. For every inept man there is a more inept man eager to hire him for a job he isn't qualified for.

It's more Ted Cottrell. He doesn't run a pass rush defense but instead drops guys back into coverage. That's why they lead the league in interceptions.
