I was curious as to whether anyone on here has been to the new movie theater in Baltimore: the Landmark. There are only three other movie houses in the city right now.

It is located down in that Inner Harbor East area with the new Skyscrapers around Central/Aliceanna Sts.

It's pretty good. Nicer than the one in Bethesda. It has a bar! An incredibly overpriced one, sure, but it's there.

Yup, absolutely true. Two of them are managed by the same people!

The Rotunda is such a depressing place to watch a movie. The more I hear about Tom Kiefaber, the less I like the way he does business.

I'm kind of surprised that the City let Landmark open, considering that the Charles is the focal point of Station North, an area the City has been trying to promote for a while. I do think both theaters can thrive, though. I just wish Kiefaber would get his act together, though; the Senator should be doing much better than it currently is.

If it's nicer than the one in Bethesda, then that's great for Baltimore. I used to work in Bethesda and really miss being close to Landmark. I can't remember how many movies I saw in the three years I was there.

I felt underdressed at this movie theater. Very nice.

How about that -- I answer my own question this evening.

Just came back from the Landmark. Saw No Country for Old Men. Fantastic movie, really swanky theater.

It didn't feel like Baltimore. Aside from the fact that they served CRAB CAKES at the concession stand, you wouldn't have a clue if you had been brought there blindfolded.

Well, it's Harbor East. The whole development isn't Baltimore. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.:)

How is it that people keep bailing him out and yet the Senator always seems to get back into financial trouble?? The three times I've been to the Senator, the theatre was packed and the overpriced concession stand had lines all over the place.
