Lately I've had a persistent urge to listen to the old Orioles broadcasts from WFBR - the Esskay commmericals, Jon Miller and Tom Marr, a team that won most of the time - the works. Anyone out there have any idea where these broadcasts might be found online?

It's far from complete or extensive, but this guy has quite a few baseball broadcasts (in addition to many other types of things), including a number of vintage Orioles ones.

I purchased a half-dozen or so from him a year or two ago, and can vouch that's he's a reputable seller and easy to work with.
Good luck!

Anybody remember Ernie Harwell? He announced for the O's in the early years and moved on after 1960. I still remember his call of the 9th inning when Hoyt Wilhelm threw a no-hitter against the Yankees in September, 1958.
I believe that in the mid-50's Chuck Thompson was here w/Harwell before moving over to the Washington Senators for awhile.Of course he would come back to Baltimore and become famous-and Harwell moved on to Detroit and became famous there. Can you imagine having Ernie Harwell and Chuck Thompson doing your games? We were always lucky that way.
