Has anyone else noticed how much more intense and smart the board has become? I started here back in '02 or something, and it was good then. But the posters these days are far more into backing up what they say with stats, links, research!, and just better overall insight.

I think the quality of it all nudges out those who just want to spew. It's really, really good moderators. If the team plays like this board is run, you will all be millionaires one day!:D Keep up the good work, and I promise I won't post stupid jokes to make anyone mad.

I agree, Billy. There is a veritable "plethora" of new posters with stats to match their intelligence. It blows me away to read the posts containing hours of work and research. Kudos to Greg65, Boom Boom Dixon, CrazySilver and of course the original masters like Drungo, vatech1994, 1970, etc., etc. "It's all good" to be a member here. I agree, if only the O's could use some of this research and improve the product on the field! :(

Funny you should mention it, 'cause I recently sent Tony a quick message saying the same thing. OH is tops. Full of good information, interesting characters, engaging debates, occasional weirdness...keeps my love of the Orioles going when little else does.

I've heard he's preparing a sabermetric defense of his position, but is waiting for the process to knock the dominoes in a certain direction before releasing it.
It's a tough board, after all!
