Troy Smith is being interviewed on the Hotlist on ESPN about the game last night (Patriots), the comments afterwards, the Heisman, and the BCS, not to mention the charity he is working for. I have to say that I am extremely impressed by his answers, his composure, and his intelligence. I have always said that the Ravens need to see what he can do before they write him off and this only strengthens my thoughts on that. His is completely composed and I think that only lends to his compsure ont he field.

That being said, how about Boller last night? Looked like he understood everything he had to do.

Smith is a really rare pure Athlete, and if Boller really has turned the corner and progressed into an NFL QB, I see absolutely no harm in lining Smith up as a WR on a few select plays.

If he works out as a WR, it opens up the possibility of using him in a trick play where he could throw for some yardage or a touchdown.

Though if Boller doesn't pan out, you start him the last few games to evaluate him.

Troy Smith is probably too slow and too short to be a solid wideout. I kinda see him being an Anthony Wright type.

How tall is he exactly? You see receivers who are 5'10"... quarterbacks get questioned about their height if they're under 6'2".

He's listed at 6'1" but many scouts had him at 5'11" to 6'. Receivers don't have to be able to see and throw over 6'6" lineman.

I think she was responding to the contention that he is too short to be a WR. He isn't.

Is he too slow? I don't know about that. I know he's supposed to be quick for a QB, but I don't know if that would translate. I don't know what his 40 times or agility scores were.

Gotcha. He's certainly tall enough to be a WR.

Smith's 40 time at the combine was 4.72. To put that in perspective, Boller ran a 4.59.
