Arthur Blank is being interviewed on Monday night football. The question was asked whether Vick could come back and play football. I'm paraphrasing here but Blank said "He's probably going to be eating a lot of fried chicken and fries and will gain a lot of weight."

I hope this doesn't come back and haunt him, I don't think he meant it like that.

I'm assuming the "he" in question is Michael Vick. If that's so, "he" would have to prove a lot to me before I'd ever let him anywhere near my organization again...regardless of any affects a two-season (or more) layoff may have.

My friends and I noticed that when when college football players are interviewed for the mini in-game biographies that are sometimes aired, the black players will more often that not list fried chicken as their favorite food. Whether or not they are being honest or are mocking the racial stereotype is a question I can't answer. Either way, it's funny.

I didn't think anything of it. I think he was referring to the quality of prison food, not really being that of an NFL player 'in training.'
