I've been playing PC baseball sims for a few years, and I'm wondering what you all think about the current crop?
I used to be a huge fan of the OOTP (Out of the Park) franchise, and they had some really awesome releases. Then a couple of years ago they merged with another company and completely rewrote the game, using a different engine and interface. The game has been AWFUL to play since then, in my opinion. Really disappointing.
I switched over to Sportsmogul's Baseball Mogul series, and I love it. It's been fun taking the helm of the O's with the real roster from 1998 and attempting to rewrite our sad past decade through trades and more savvy free agent signings. I highly recommend the Baseball Mogul series. Just be prepared to waste a LOT of time.
Anyway, I've never tried Puresim or some of the other PC baseball sims out there, and I'm wondering if some of you have any favorites or opinions?
