Next game at Byrd is on 8/30 against Delaware. I'm looking for an 8-4 season. Glad we have a real O coord for '08. Only wish Billick would admit that he needs one also.

What is the schedule? I'll say 7-5 next year.
The way this team traditionally starts the season, this Delaware game really scares me. If Appalachian St (2 time D-1AA champ) can beat Michigan, Delaware is certainly capable of beating us. That would not be good for recruiting.
I think the offense will be improved, obviously, b/c it can't get any worse than this year. I'm still concerned w/the defense though. The line gets out muscled, the LB's can't shed blocks, and Cosh lacks creativity. You can't keep giving up 200+ yards on the ground and win. That's BS. It will be the defense that keeps the team from an 8-4 or 9-3 season.

9-3 is what I say. I think they will get back to opening it up next year and Portis will be a big boost even if he is only used part time. If you have a great offense you can win alot of games in college even if the D is soso. Look at WVU. They haven't had good defenses the last couple of years and they still have been rolling people. Iwould go with 10-2 but losing Dre Moore is going to hurt.

8/30 vs. Delaware
9/6 @Middle Tennessee
9/3 vs. California
Eastern Michigan
@VaTech
@BC
@Clemson
@UVA
vs. Wake
vs. NC State
vs. North Carolina
vs. FSU
EDIT: The site that was the source for this forgot Eastern Micigan.
Expected Wins: EMU, UNC, NC State, Middle Tennessee, BC (no Ryan), UVA (no Long)
Expected Losses: California, VaTech, Clemson
"Swing games": Delaware won't be a pushover and we know how the Terps start slow to start the season. Wake is an improved team. Florida State is always dangerous.
I'm going to say 7-5 next year. That's the safe bet!

I don't see 7 wins in this schedule:
I'll say we beat Delaware, Middle Tenn, Eastern Mich, NC State, UNC, and one of Wake, FSU or UVA.
The rest are big fat losses.
