Just a simple yes or no.

I'll give a complex no.

No. Not just because he's the Pittsburgh Golden Boy or whatever, but because when you look at his coaching tenure there it was basically just like Billicks, but in reverse.

Plenty of times the fans of Pittsburgh wanted Cowher fired.

Keep that in mind.

Not really. To me it reeks of hiring the guy with the big name because he's the guy with the big name.

I would love to see Cowher as our next coach! He has proven creativity, which our offense needs, and secondly boy would it piss off the Steeler fans. Anytime we can piss off the Steeler fans, I am game!!!:D

Not most of them, just a vocal minority.

BS ... Cohwer went deep into the playoffs once every three years in Pittsburgh, four conference championships ... Billick could not hold Cowher's coaching jock.

I meant the up and down nature.

His tuffness would be great for this team. I don't think the vets would be skipping out on too much training camp with him here.

I meant the up and down nature.

Nearly all teams go up and down. Cowher was more up than down and if he comes to coach the Ravens I will be sick. BTW, I am a Steeler fan.:D

15 years in Pittsburgh, two Super Bowl appearances, one victory, in the easiest post season in the history of the sport.

If it weren't for that fluke two years ago, people would be saying the same things about him they say about Schottenheimer, except with him they're true.

Why not? The man is tough and smart. He's the perfect guy to get control of the locker room.

COWHER
149-90
12-9 postseason
1 SUPER BOWL

BILLICK
80-64
5-3 postseason
1 SUPER BOWL

Yes. He is the best option out there and a proven winner. I think he is our number 1 choice but I just don't think he ends up here. Too much bad blood from both sides and I still think he has some loyalty to the Rooney's.
