The Examiner needs a better editor. Perhaps I'll apply.
It would be interesting to see Billick sitting and joking with all of the media types who have relentlessly bashed his offense, and may have even contributed to his demise. I think he would be great and I hope he gets hired. It would also be interesting in light of the assumption that he would be at the top of the list for teams that will have coaching vacancies.

The Examiner needs a better paper.

Please, dear God, put him on CBS. Right next to Shannon Sharpe.
I would not miss a second of any show they did like that.

I don't read it. But if the reason you don't like it has anything do with a political bias, as I suspect, it's not likely to be any worse than its competitior.
But then The Sun is a left wing paper, and that's fine and dandy. ;)

It's about 20 percent bias and 80 percent pure suckage. Just look at their website - it looks worse than the freaking Diamondback.
The Sun isn't much better, but at least it pretends to be a professional newspaper.
Anyway, Billick would be a hilarious TV analyst, and I second the plug for him and Sharpe.

I think since it is a blog post, there was no editor. Yes, it would be funny to see, and I think he would be a good analyst. As someone else said, sit him next to S. Sharpe, and let the fun begin! :)

Would Billick be interested in coaching the 49ers once Nolan is let go?

Nolan is staying (probably not much longer though)

It wouldn't surprise me either, but two things: 1) I can't help but wonder how Billick might feel about assuming a profession he seems to despise, and 2) Is it me or does Examiner Sports Media columnist Jim Williams seem to struggle with the whole blog thing? That was a painful read.

The only way that pairing could be any better is if it caused our TV's to print us up some 100 dollar bills every time they were on screen.

Great, now we can sit around on gameday and watch Billick insisting in a studio that he's always right instead of assuming he's insisting on the sidelines that he's always right?

Right or wrong, for better or for worse, there is one thing that you cannot take away from Billick. As he's sitting there on the studio show, he'll be like many others on there, notably Terry, Howie, and Jimmy, who can show off his SuperBowl ring while talking about the weekly games! He must have done "something" right while he was in Baltimore! I understand 100% that it was time for a change, but let's not forget Billick brought us many winning teams over his tenure!

Absolutely! He kept Marvin Lewis as his defensive coordinator.

I agree. I would pay money to watch those two discussing Kyle Boller and the Ravens QB situation!

He did sign on using a different name to praise Luis Hernandez for about a week. That should tell you all you need to know about his sports watching prowess.

Forty years of television sports must have a negative effect on people.

Maybe he sat too close to the TV for 35 of those 40 years. They did say it was bad for your eyes.

Actually if you two young gentlemen were into the Ravens as much as I am I fail to see how you could have missed the very much discussed and publicized comments Shannon Sharpe made regarding both Boller and Billick when he made the famous he would win the Kentucky Derby riding a donkey before Billick will ever win a Superbowl with Boller as his QB. So the thought of those two discussing the Ravens QB situation (Boller in particular) would be funny as those two are polar opposites on the subject! The fact they are both extremely outspoken and cocky individuals associated with the same Superbowl winning team would also add to the interest!
