Broken Government

I'm not really sure how to begin this rant. Or that it is even a rant at all.

But my friends I have this overwhelming feeling that America just isn't America anymore. That our politicians are just marrionettes and have no real power. Like the house of cards that is modern day society is about to be scattered. A feeling that George Orwell was right....just 20 years early.

For the first time in my life I am scared to open the door on the future because there might be a monster on the other side. That hideous wretched troll that is one world government. We are already seeing it with things like the European Union, and the African Union. Now we are hearing whispers of a North American Union. This shakes me to my core! Our ancestors came to America to get away from the rest of the world!

I take it you haven't jumped on any of the bandwagons of 'hope' and 'change' that are currently stopped in New Hampshire.

American democracy has always been far from perfect. But I too get the feeling that it is in the process of deteriorating from 'just good enough' to 'hopelessly broken'.

Sorry, man...I know you meant no harm, but this thread will go nowhere good and fast. It'll get political and we just don't do politics here, not even in the Rants section.
