When I think of our insiders' posts these days...

I see a nice sunny day in a park... a man sits on a bench, and though he may know better, he tosses a crumb from his lunch to a bird hopping a short distance away. Immediately, hundred of birds, gulls, and pigeons galore show up... who are these scavengers? Where did they come from? And why do they bump the other birds aside rudely, elbowing (or winging) their way to the front, badgering the man for more crumbs....

Yeah, I know everybody likes the game of pump the insiders for more info. But honestly... the feeling of entitlement that some of these posts ooze bugs me. At least be polite... at least seem grateful... at least, maybe contribute to the board with your own opinions rather than the same repetitive questions. I mean honestly - if they could tell us the answers to the questions you want to know (Who? When? Now?) don't you think they would? They seem as excited to relay that news as we are to receive it. But maybe if -you- ask, just -one more time-....

Yeah I know most people on here, at least most of the regular crew, are pretty good about this. And sure I'm being a little irrational about this, but then, isn't that a sign of a true rant?

/shrug I don't know. Just rubs me the wrong way sometimes. Ok - I feel better now. Carry on. :002_sbiggrin:

I'm an especially big fan of the birds that get pissed off when the guy says he'll bring pumpernickel, and then the grocery store is out and he gets challah instead, and then these birds, they get angry because they thought the were going to get pumpernickel, when really, if it wasn't for the challah, they'd starve.

And that, my friends, is a textbook example of how to take an analogy, stretch it way too far, and then kill it. PM me if you want lessons.

PS. Good point, Baroquen!

I love challah. The grocery store up here doesn't carry it because there aren't any Jews. Yet for some reason they do carry Shabbos and yahrtzeit candles. I don't get it. Score another advantage for living in metro DC: you can always buy challah.

Oh, and I agree with Baroquen.
